PRP: Platelet Rich Plasma and Exosomes for Skin Rejuvenation
PRP
Platelet Rich Plasma
PRP therapy is a treatment that involves withdrawing a patient’s own blood, processing it so that only the enriched cells (platelet-rich plasma) remain, and then depositing them in the skin of your face or neck. Once deposited, the platelets break down and release growth factors, which are compounds that help cells repair and renew
PRP improves overall skin texture, decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and eyes, and plumps hollowing areas such as tear trough grooves, cheeks, and temples. PRP can also help smooth acne and surgical scars.
Aesthetics at WomanCare uses the ProGen PRP system which has been validated in studies to produce 2x platelet concentration and gives 96% platelet recovery than many other systems.
Many other MedSpas who offer PRP use regular untreated centrifuge tubes for the processing. Using untreated centrifuge tubes has not been proven to recover as many platelets and growth factors as the ProGen PRP system.
At Aesthetics at WomanCare, we will not cut corners. We will use quality products and proven technology to give you the best aesthetic results possible.
PRP can be added to many of the services offered at Aesthetics at WomanCare MedSpa to help boost collagen and elastin production.
Exosomes
Increase collagen production
Exosomes are nanoparticles released by nearly all cells in the human body, and skin cells have their very own kind of exosomes. Exosomes contain lipids, proteins, amino acids, peptides, and growth factors and they help with repair and regeneration of skin.
Exosomes cannot penetrate skin on their own; they need disruptions to the skin to have an effect in the skin. Therefore, exosomes can only be used in conjunction with other in-office MedSpa treatments, never as a stand-alone treatment.
Thousands of mircochannels are created with laser treatments, SkinPen® microneedling, and Vivace® RF microneedling, and these procedure can be paired with exosomes to boost results. As a result, skin becomes plumper, firmer, brighter, and smoother.
Exosomes can be added to many of the services offered at Aesthetics at WomanCare MedSpa to boost your results!
Hair Loss
The most common cause for hair loss occurs with aging is called Androgenic Alopecia. This is also called male- or female- pattern baldness. This process can be devastating physically and psychologically.
There are two treatments available that have promising results in many studies and can be used to help both men and women:
-PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
-Exosome therapy
PRP for Hair Loss
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) contains essential proteins and growth factors that can help stop the process of hair loss, and can also stimulate new hair growth.
If you are experiencing hair loss, you should start treatments at the early stages of hair loss to be most effective.
Aesthetics at WomanCare uses the ProGen PRP system which has been validated in studies to produce 2x platelet concentration and give 96% platelet recovery than many other systems.
Many others who offer PRP use regular untreated centrifuge tubes which have not been proven to recover as many platelets and growth factors like ProGen PRP does.
What can I expect the day of my PRP for hair loss treatment?
– PRP therapy is a treatment that involves withdrawing a patient’s own blood, processing it so that only the enriched cells (platelet-rich plasma) remain, and then depositing the PRP into the skin of your scalp.
– Once deposited into the scalp and hair follicles, the platelets break down and release growth factors, which are compounds that help cells repair and renew.
How many treatments are recommended?
– PRP treatments for hair loss are done in a series of 3 treatments scheduled 4 – 6 weeks apart.
– You will need to continue with 1 or 2 treatments annually to maintain your results.
Also, PRP can be added to many of the aesthetic services offered at Aesthetics at WomanCare MedSpa to help boost collagen and elastin production for skin rejuvenation.
Exosomes for Hair Loss
Boost Hair Growth
Exosomes are nanoparticles released by nearly all cells in the human body, and skin cells have their very own kind of exosomes. Exosomes contain lipids, proteins, amino acids, peptides, and growth factors and they help with repair and regeneration of skin.
Hair loss is the caused by degeneration of the hair follicles. By usings exosomes and growth factors, studies have showed clear benefits of exosome use for hair loss treatment.
